Police are asking the public’s help to find a 16-year-old girl who went missing a week ago after leaving a north suburban high school. Samantha Smith, 16, was last seen at 3:15 p.m. April 11 after dismissal from Warren Township High School in Gurnee, according to Gurnee police. She was last seen near McClure Avenue, east of O’Plaine Road, getting into a dark-colored mid-size car, police said.
