Red Carpet - Oscar Academy Awards 2014 // Kırmızı Halı - Oscar Akademi Ödülleri 2014

The event that everyone was waiting for, the event that many people counted down for: Oscars 2014 Academy Awards was held yesterday. Of course like any time else, the red carpet was the most trending topic. At this years' ceremony, the choices were made very well. There is almost nobody that I could think of as not-well-dressed, but there are some prominent players, of course. Let's have a look at the dresses of celebrities one by one ;)

Herkesin dört gözle beklediği , kimilerinin geri sayım yaptığı 2014 Oscar Ödül Töreni dün gerçekleşti. Tabi her zamanki gibi kırmızı halısı da gündemin bir numaralı konusu oldu. Bu seneki ödül töreninde gerçekten çok başarılı seçimler yapılmış. Rüküş diyebileceğim kimse yok neredeyse ama tabi ki öne çıkan isimler de var. Hadi tek tek ünlülerin kırmızı halı kıyafetlerine göz atalım;)

In my opinion, one of the worst of the night was Jennifer Garner with her Oscar de la Renta dress. The dress is too flashy, and very much out-of-fashion. And wearing accessories that are the same color with the dress is such a wrong choice for her. It would be better if she made a combination that is going with her age.

Bana göre gecenin en kötülerinden biri Oscar de la Renta elbisesiyle Jennifer Garner'dı. Elbise fazla gösterişli ve cok eski moda. Aksesuarlarını da aynı renk kullanarak cok yanlış bir tercih yapmış. Daha yaşına uygun giyinmesi gerekirdi.

I haven't liked this Jason Wu dress of Kerry Washington at all. It looks like she wrapped up a bed sheet she found around herself. This is a proper dress for pregnant women, actually, but the chest of the dress could have been much better.

Emma Watson still keeps on disappointing us after a few awards ceremonies. Even though I like the bottom of her Vera Wang dress, the top looks so simple and cheap. She also should choose dresses regarding her age.

I might have liked this Armani Prive dress of Cate Blanchett if I had seen it two years ago, however, this kind of dresses are starting to get out-of-fashion and boring. Actually, when I see the tail detail of this dress, I take my words back. There is NO possibility that I would like this dress.

Angelina Jolie's Elie Saab dress is exactly the kind of dress that I've told just before. And even more, it is an oversize dress. It made her look fatter and older than she actually is. She is really capable of making great choices, I hope she doesn't make this kind of mistakes again.

This Giambattista Valli dress of Penelope Cruz looks so sloppy to me. There are so many details on the dress, and it is eye-straining even though it has a plain color like this. I cannot say this is a bad dress, of course, but I wouldn't say that it is a nice dress, either.

Even though Sandra Bullock's Alexander McQueen dress looks elegant, there is something that bothers me about this dress. I guess it is the details that goes down the chest. This kind of details feel eye-straining to me. It feels like the dress might have looked better if it had had that detail only on the bottom. Other than the dress, she looks nice being plain with only a bracelet, and with her hairstyle.

Sandra Bullock'un Alexander McQueen elbisesi zarif dursa da yine de içime sinmeyen bir şey var bu elbisede. Sanırım o da göğüsünden aşağıya inen detay. Bu tarz detaylar göz yorucu gibi geliyor bana. Sanki sadece alt kısımda olsaymıs o detay daha güzel olurmuş. Elbise dışında sadece bir bileklik kullanarak sade olmayı tercih etmesi ve saç modeli de çok hoş olmuş bence.

Even though I like her Gucci dress much, Anne Hathaway won't look elegant to me if she doesn't let her hair grow longer. I really do not understand why a women like her whose hair doesn't look any good keeps on having short hair. She just wastes this great dress at this situation.

Gucci elbisesini ne kadar beğensem de saçını uzatmadığı sürece benim için hiç bir zaman şık olamayacak Anne Hathaway. Kısa saçın bu kadar yakışmadığı biri niye kısa saçlı kalmaya devam eder gerçekten anlamıyorum. Güzelim elbiseyi de harcıyor bu haliyle.

Talking about hair, there is one other celebrity that disappointed us with her hair: Margot Robbie. Her Saint Lauren dress is very elegant and chic. I hope she realizes that she made a mistake and get back to blondness.

Even though the waist of this Givenchy Couture by Riccardo Tisci dress of Julia Roberts looks like a curtain, I like this dress. Especially the collar is so unique and nice. The only excess parts are the details on the waist. Nevertheless, this dress looks very beatiful, totally. I also liked her choice of bun of Roberts.

Tek fazlalık bel kısmındaki detaylar olmuş. Yine de gayet güzel görünüyor elbise bütünüyle. Topuz tercihini de çok başarılı buldum ayrıca Roberts'ın.

Charlize Theron looks very elegant and chic in her Dior Couture dress, and her hair, makeup and jewellery. However, I need to say that the tail is exaggerated. I think I cannot find any other faults.

We are going on with a black dress. Olivia Wilde has chosen a Valentino dress that pregnant woman should take an example by it. Her natural makeup and especially her bun is excellent.

Portia de Rossi's Naeem Khan dress looks very elegant. I also like her clutch and jewellery. Nothing much to say.

I love this Chanel dress of Jessica Biel sooo much, and it might even make my top 5; if the chest was not like it was held together with a rubber band, and more plainer. Other than that, the dress is very and very elegant, and the jewellery looks great. However, that detail really wrecks the look.

And here are my top 5 dresses. Kate Hudson's Atelier Versace dress is a very unique dress. I like this kind of unique and extraordinary, and elegant dresses at the same time. Hair, makeup and the dress are in a great harmony.

Naomi Watts' Calvin Klein dress is so Kate Middleton. With chicness and elegance, it brings nobility to Watts. This kind of dresses are among my favorites. Looking this noble is not something everybody could do. I congratulate Watts for being able to do that.

Jennifer Lawrence was among the people that were most talked about with her Dior Couture dress. Her dress is very elegant. I also like her makeup this time. It looks like she learned this stuff. And it will be great if she learns how to walk properly. She now has a tradition of falling at Oscars every year.

Amy Adams has been among the best celebrities this year on the red carpet. I have liked every dress she has worn until now, but this Gucci Premiere is very very beautiful in another way. I like this kind of dresses that plainly fit to the body. These are among the dresses that look noble. I congratulate Amy Adams for her success on the red carpet.

Amy Adams bu yılın kırmızı halılarında en başarılı isimlerinden biriydi. Giydiği tüm kıyafetleri çok beğenmiştim ama dün geceki Gucci Premiere kıyafeti bir ayrı güzeldi. Böyle dümdüz vücuda oturan kıyafetleri de çok beğeniyorum. Asil duran kıyafetlerden bunlar da gerçekten. Amy Adams'ı kırmızı halıdaki bu başarılarından dolayı kutluyorum.

And here is the dress which everyone was curious about. Lupita Nyong'o has not disappointed us and gathered our love once again, who is the most consistent celebrity of the red carpet. Lupita has chosen a Prada dress now. And the color is as perfect as the dress itself. The only problem is -like everybody else said- the fact that she hasn't got the size of breasts that would look better in this kind of dress. However, the flawlessness of the dress just covers up this wrong side. Congratulations to Lupita Nyong'o for being the most consistent red carpet legend and getting the Oscar for Best Support Actress.
***** Ve geldik gecenin en merak edilen ve yine mükemmel tercihiyle bizleri hayal kırıklığına uğratmayıp beğenimizi kazanan, kırmızı halının en istikrarlı şık ismi Lupita Nyong'o'ya. Lupita bu defa Prada bir tuvalet tercih etmiş. Ve elbise kadar elbisenin rengi de mükemmel. Tek sorun herkesin dile getirdiği gibi göğüs kısmındaki dekoltenin hakkını verememesiydi. Ama elbisenin güzelliği bu kusuru da kapatıyor gibi. Lupita Nyong'o'yu hem istisnasız en şık isimlerden olabildiği hem de en iyi yardımcı kadın oyuncu ödülünü kazandığı için tebrik ediyorum.

At last, I will not finish without sharing the coolest selfie of this year. This selfie which received the honor of being the most retweeted tweet of all times looks like it will be remembered for a long time. And I'm waiting for your comments about these dresses ;)
