I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine about the point of it all. She asked about what happens after the kids, and careers, and mortgages, and paying off debts. Because I can never pass up a moment to be the life of the party, I told her that there was no point to it all. You do all of those things in the hope that one day, you will be able to reclaim your time and spend it the way you see fit, but overall? Nah breh.

I think the best we can do is find some sort of contentment with our lives. Other than that, I don’t see much of a point to any of this. When you think of the vastness of the universe; the sheer enormity of it all; and that we came into being because of a series of fortunate but completely random events, nothing else makes sense. And maybe it isn’t supposed to. Maybe we’re all just here to enjoy the ride on this pale blue dot.

Makes things seem much less complicated that way. Or maybe I’m just tired. Eh.

I got new sunglasses that are making me very happy, so there’s that.
