#WeRunSF Training Week 7 & 8




Sorry I missed last week's post, but I think it's better that I combine week 7 & 8 since last week was pretty uneventful anyway.
I've made some modifications to my training since there always seems to be something wrong with my body! Week 7, I injured my back during weight training when I got too overconfident with upping my weight trying to show up the bros at the gym. Long story short, I'm easing off on weights & putting more focus on my speed & mileage (Wahhhh! :( Weight training is my favorite workout so I'm pretty sad to have to sit out for a few weeks). It's okay though, I'll come back to the bar hard after the marathon.
It's been getting too hot & annoying for afternoon/evening runs, so I've been pretty good at getting up at 4AM. It feels great to run in the cold! But running in the dark is another story. Scary, really. Would it be weird for me to run with a flashlight? Haha!
