Outside of London

Jonny brought me to Brick Lane, which reminded me slightly of Shibuya/Harajuku and their fashion style. There were a lot of people, and a lot of weird and interesting clothing. I regretted not bringing my paparazzi lens to Brick Lane as I reckon I could’ve taken awesome street style photos if I had it.

They had a lot of vintage stores where you could buy second hand clothes and a lot of other random awesome stuff. It was truly an adventure to enter the stores in Brick Lane. Totally recommend this place if you want to find something unique and different.

After walking for hours my feet were hurting so much that we had to retreat to the apartment we were staying at before heading to Gillinham where Jonny lives. It was my first time going somewhere outside of London. My image of England is rather idyllic, but the reality was something quite different. Of course you have the small charming houses everywhere, but in general I think I have the right to say that it doesn’t look neat or clean, at least not in Gillingham. It was a huge contrast to London.

I mostly spent my time putting on makeup, enjoying the weather and playing GTA at Jonny’s place. I also got to meet his lovely flatmates which were such wonderful people. Really good boys.
We went out partying one of the days I was there, playing ring of fire (don’t do that if you want to be able to stand the rest of the night), going clubbing etc. The university parties in Gillingham are so much more fun than the non-existent parties that Oslo university has.

I returned to Norway and was welcomed by autumn.
