On the Runway: General Idea Spring 2014

Geometric. Leather. Neoprene. Interested yet?
General Idea mixed two unlikely materials and the result was nothing short of amazing. I think designer Bumsuk Choi knocked this collection out of the park! It was hard for me to pick which looks to show you guys, but I highly recommend checking out the full collection at GQ.
So when I look at this collection, the word that comes to mind is fast. Maybe it’s the vintage cars in the background, or maybe it’s the neoprene, or maybe it could be the geometric “racing stripes” that are found throughout the collection, but one thing is for sure, this collection is both modern and wearable. The one issue I have with this collection is the closed coats mixed with the short shorts. However, I would wear any of those coats with pants in a heartbeat!
I’m still slightly mesmerized by the mixture of leather and neoprene, so I’ll let you guys look at the rest of my favorite picks. And let me know if you love this collection as much as me!
