DIY Mixtape

With Christmas less than 2 months away, I thought it would be the perfect time to start sharing a few small DIY's and gift ideas for the holiday season (or for birthday presents)! I always leave everything until the last minute, so never get as many presents ready as I would like. So, this year I'm hoping to get myself organised and start getting some presents ready early on.

I think Mixtape's are the perfect gift for anyone. You can customise them to suit any personality, age or gender. They are really quick easy to make and add a personal touch to your presents. Here is how you can make one:

YOU WILL NEED:

- a blank CD
- computer
- iTunes
- Photoshop, Microsoft Word OR scrapbooking supplies

STEP ONE - open iTunes

STEP TWO - select "Playlists" from the navigation bar

STEP THREE - select "New Playlist" from the drop-down menu in the bottom left corner

STEP FOUR - name the playlist, then select drag all your desired songs into the column on the right

STEP FIVE - once you're finished and are happy with the selection order, press the "Done" button

STEP SIX - with your new Playlist selected, go to File > Burn Playlist to Disc (make sure you've already inserted your blank CD into the computer)

STEP SEVEN - make sure all your settings are correct, then press "Burn". Once the CD has finished burning you can eject it and put it safely away in it's case.

STEP EIGHT - now you can design a cover for your CD case. I made mine in photoshop using images from the internet, and wrote the songs out in order. It is approximately 5x5 inches, but this will vary depending on your CD. You could also make one in Word Document or another application, or make one with scrapbooking supplies.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this tutorial. If you make one, don't forget to share a photo with me on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter with #emilyjaneblog. Happy weekend! xx
