A heavily textured milk mini dress, court shoes and an eerie tiled hallway align perfectly to my thoughts these past few days. There is something spiritual about this dress and the atmosphere around it, much like the spiritual place I am in. A cleanse or rehabilitation of self is necessary every few months. Removing all the bad energy surrounding my life is neither easy nor painless but entirely necessary for growth and improvement. I have no time for meaningless gossip, the insecurities of others and negatively charged thoughts. I have come to realize that in life people are not always sincere, those in your corner are not always cheering for your success but sometimes the opposite. My journey in understanding human behavior and how we interact has led me to assess people’s intentions. Although it feels less surprising than before it is still unfathomable to me that peoples intentions are not always good, but I am not sad just curious – I want to understand it. One would argue that in world plagued with meaningless wars and severe crime, that accepting bad intentions would be easier. It is however, no less shocking to me. I still find insincerity a very hard and bitter pill to swallow. In making these assessments and judgments I can only perfect myself and accept others. “Change begins from within” after all, so I decide to start here and now.

When my mood is reflective like this it can become straining and anti social. One way I overcome feelings like this is treating myself to some TLC. This involves cleansing of my physical being as well. I usually take longer showers, use hair masks, skin scrubs and creams. Cleansing my soul and my body goes hand in hand. This week I intend on detoxing physically and emotionally, no sugary drinks, tons of water and positive thoughts. I plan to do something good this week for someone other than myself. Join me on this?

Love your mind, body and spirit
