Passion for Purple

I always wear brown eyeshadow…no matter what, but I’ve always had a soft spot for grey-ish purples. Because these particular purple products are (for the most part) more on the grey side it doesn’t make me nervous about wearing colour! (Sorry about the extreme close up ^)

Origins Brightening Cream Shadow (Perkle)-£17.00
The Origins Cream Shadows are very similar to the MAC Paint Pots and they’ve got some amazing shades. Perkle in particular is a great base for any eyeshadow colour, but pairing it with some more purple in the crease really adds something to the eyeshadow look.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner (Purple)-£3.99
Another great way to wear colour is through your liner. Scandaleyes from Rimmel are fantastic because they’re almost like a gel pencil and they’re the longest lasting kohl pencils I’ve ever used. I also really like the nude shade to brighten the waterline

Wet ‘n Wild Silent Treatment Trio
Sadly this trio isn’t available in the UK, but if you ever stumble across W&W I’d highly recommend them. The quality is fantastic with a price you cannot beat. I did a post a very long time ago swatching all of my palettes which you can read here.

Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes (Lavish Lilac)-£17.00
I’ve been going on and on about these Clinique Chubby Sticks for Eyes recently because they are so easy and foolproof that I can’t help myself from wearing them almost everyday. The lilac shade is by far one of my favourite shades (next to Lot’s ‘o Latte) because it’s so wearable. You can watch me apply it in this tutorial.

MAC Eyeshadow (Shale)-£10.00
One of my favourite MAC shadows of all time has got to be Shale. It’s a bit darker with more taupe in there, so if you’re a neutral lover just starting your purple eyeshadow adventure this might be a good one to start with.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyeshadow (Delicate Hummingbird)-£14.00
Delicate Hummingbird is a rich purple and has the most mesmerising shimmer. This would be the perfect night out shade because you can make it really dark, but it’s also great for daytime if you apply it with a lighter hand. I’m wearing it in the extreme closeup above.

Do you think you’ll try wearing some purple?
What’s your favourite ‘neutral colour’ to wear?
