NEW LAUNCHES: Urban Decay

Urban Decay is launching 5 new shades of the 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencils (love) as well as a lash primer and mascara early next month. I was lucky enough to get a chance to try them a bit before they hit counters on August 4th in the UK. Here’s a quick little overview with a few first impressions!

Subversion Lash Primer-£17
Ever since trying the Dior Lash Maximizer I have been completely sold on lash primers. I think it can seem quite gimmicky, but they are truly fantastic. I have very fine, short lashes so if a product promises to add thickness, volume and a little extra oomph in the lash department you’d best believe I’ll be giving it a try. After using this for a couple of weeks I can safely say this is the best lash primer I have EVER used. It doesn’t weigh down my lashes, it makes my mascara go on like a dream and doubles the thickness of my lashes. I can’t stop using it!

Perversion Mascara-£17
Designed to work hand in hand with the primer, this mascara is INTENSE. It has a massive wand that creates instant impact (especially when paired with the primer). It’s super black, but most importantly it is amazing at layering. It never gets too clumpy or thick and I am genuinely obsessed with this mascara combo.

24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil-£15
I love to use the Urban Decay liners on my waterline because once they set they do not budge. It’s exciting to see 5 new shades of the liners (Black Velvet, Cult, Lure, Lush, Minx and Plushie) for Autumn. They wanted to create rich jewel tones to pair with neutral eyeshadows (I’ve been loving the navy liner) which I think looks gorgeous. It’s nice to add a bit of colour to neutrals but sometimes that can be scary. This formula is slightly more powdery than the original formula, so it’s easy to blend it out if you want to.
