PREP THE CANVAS!
This is the case with most lip products, but I can’t stress enough that we should all be scrub-a-dub-dubbing our lips now that chapped lip season is here. I get REALLY chapped lips, so I use a lip scrub frequently (my favourite is by Fresh) and use a hydrating lipbalm every like the Nuxe Reve de Miel. Make sure that before you’re about to apply your lip liner that you have clean lips and you remove any excess lip balm.
REMEMBER HOW TO COLOUR!?
Ahh the days of colouring for entertainment…you get to bring back those skills! I personally like to stay in the lines, but there’s nothing stopping you from going *slightly* (and let me stress slightly) over your natural lip line to create a fuller lip. Don’t go overboard on this one, trust me. I personally like to start from the middle and work my way out. I line the outside and then fill in the rest of my lips!
ADD SOMETHING EXTRA
This step is optional, but of course you can add a lipstick or gloss overtop. Long after the lipstick and gloss have faded, that liner will usually still be there which makes life so much easier. No more worrying about awkward fading, no more wondering if your lipstick has started to migrate down half of your face. Lots of lip liners look great on their own, so experiment!
What are your favourite blush palettes you’ve seen recently?
Who do you think wins at best blush palette? I think my vote goes to Hourglass!
