Confessions – Chapter One Hundred and Sixty One

As a South Africa woman we all know this, we live in a world where men try and get into your pants as often as they can whether with permission or not. I think there is nothing more scary for a parent than to have a daughter when you look at the crime statistics against women. It’s sad to the point of most women accepting their fate. Rodney wanted nothing to do with Nozipho and part of me understood why. On what was happening though there was no excuse and no matter how much I wanted Rodney, my cousin came first. Rape for a woman is like a permanent visible scare on her face which no matter how much make up she puts on to cover it, she can’t get rid of! It’s for life! It’s scary and it kills you inside! Only an animal can do that to another person! I was so angry!

I shook Rodney away which startled him.

“Yes, what is it?”

He asked when he realised that he was not having a bad dream. He had actually fallen deep asleep by the looks of it. When he looked at me at first my words didn’t come out because I was not sure what to say,

“Nelisa, what’s wrong?l

I then replied,

“Look you can throw me out tonight even but I am going to get my cousin!”

I took my phone and shoved it towards him and said,

“Read this please!”

He took the phone and read I think twice by the way his eyes went over the words on the phone. I actually had tears on my eyes. Losky had betrayed my trust as well as Nozipho’s. I wonder what Juju had to say about his friend?

“Is this place in the building?”

Rodney asked me coldly of which I nodded my head.

“Ok fine I will call security!”

Wow this guy. He wanted me to send security to rescue my cousin in such a situation. Was he mad? She needed me! You see this is why men don’t get what it feels like to be violated against your will! The reason why the constantly refuse to join our marches in solidarity is because they say it’s the police’s job to take care of such! Rodney was disappointing me deeply! So much for the gentleman I had thought he was. He was just a coward like the rest of them! He can stay if he wanted but I was going to get her!

I stood up and started putting on my shoes.

“Where are you going?”

Did he just ask me that? Such a learned and worldly man to ask a woman that? What then happens to the rest of the ignorant men out there when such a man asks that.

“Look Rodney, I am going to get my cousin! She is just a girl and this will ruin her forever! I get you hate her father but you are a better person than this!”

I snapped at him. I had never actually spoken to Rodney like this and I could see he was a bit shocked that the girl had a backbone. Well surprise there! I then walked towards the door and to my surprise I saw him get up and come after me. Why do men need to be guilted into defending abused women though? It’s usually like that! Some even go as far as saying she asked for it! Really? I stood up and ran out of the doorm

I didn’t even bother taking the elevator because in my head I told myself it would take so long. Rodney struggled to keep up but he was right there now beside me. It was not a moral victory though. Why did I have to guilt him to help my cousin. I was so annoyed! When I got to Losky’s door before I knocked Rodney held my hand and putting his finger on his lips signalling me to keep quiet. I did not get why until he pressed his ear against the door and I pressed my too when I followed suit!

What I heard disgusted me!

“I never touched you! All I said was suck my dick or leave! This is not a hotel and I have money unlike you so I don’t want money from you to stayy here!”

I heard him say from the other side!

“Please don’t do this Malose! You are my friend!”

I heard my cousins teary voice and it broke my heart to hear her so heart broken. Dear Lord why are men like this? Why?

“I know we friends so let’s have the benefits. You can stay here as long as you want but first you suck then we talk!”

He had a kind of a slur in his voice I actually think he was drunk. Rodney had heard enough. He banged on the door and said,

“Open up its security!”

Didn’t expect that! With the banging on the door I didn’t hear what was happening inside but the door open. I was expecting Losky to open but it was Nozipho. Something didn’t add up, if the key had been on the door the whole time why didn’t she run out before? But that thought was for later! I am certain she had run for her dear life when that knock was made. He blouse was missing two top buttons and I could see that her bra had been yanked from the front as it was loose! Losky came up behind her shouting that nothing happened and even said she was trying to seduce him! Before he could go far Rodney punched him so hard he fell over backwards. As it happened the security guys arrived. Everything happened so fast. Nozipho was in my arms though. Losky even on the floor was protesting his innocence but Rodney and I had heard what he had said. Pig!

I went in the flat and took my cousins back. I don’t know if she was going to press charges but I wanted her out of there. As I was walking her away Rodney got a call. I was close enough to hear him. He said something like,

“The girls were in trouble I had to stop by. Someone tried to rape…”

There was silence as whoever he was taking to was doing all the talking I could see his face change. He was protesting against something at first the eventually said ok. Whomever he was talking had clearly won that argument!

“Eh girls, my wife insists you come sleep at the house tonight! She won’t take no for an answer…”

He said cautiously!

“Fuck!!!”

He screamed. This was not good at all but who cares, I was finally going to my man’s house!

Every girl wants that!

Thank you once again for an awesome read….

I’m lady of 25 yrs,with 2 kids.. Involved with an awesome guy,its been 3 yrs now.. he’s there 4 me and the kids.. He does everything 4 us.. Even though the older kid is not his.. But u can never tell,because he is there 4 her as well… School meetings,sports day.. He plays a huge role in her life.. But the problem is… He hasn’t introduced me and our son to his parents.. Our son now is 4 months but he’s never taken him to his house. (He stays with his aunt,so he says) I’ve never been 2 his house,we have s** in his car or he’ll take me to a lodge o something.. He always comes 2 my place and spends most his time with me. He takes me to work and back home EVERY day.. I’ve got a descent job and earn a descent income, I have a house… Of which he comes visit any time.. Guys I need help here.. I’m confused, Shall I stay or leave? I love him with all my heart. He’s 35 by the way.. Do u think we have a future?
