how do you do that? {linkup announcement}
Remember a few weeks ago when I lamented about things that I don’t understand? I asked “how do you do that?” to fictional/real people who are awesome at things, such as perfect winged eyeliner, people who can walk two dogs at once etc. Well I’m back with another round today (and an announcement for an upcoming linkup on this topic). Again, asking how do you do that… ?
… person in Target who chose the longest line, but ended up checking out before me (who chose the shortest line)? I swear I always pick the slowest line. I try getting behind the person with only a few items, thinking I’m outsmarting the system. Nope.
… people/bloggers who read more than one book per month/season/year? I just finally finished The White Queen which took me one million years to read. I basically just read before bed and end up falling asleep within 10-20 minutes. Thus it takes me forever to finish a book.
… Kardashians? Your shows are the worst, yet I always get sucked into episodes. You are all millionaires for literally doing nothing, other than just living opulent lives. It’s a horrible circle of life – the richer they get, the more products/shows they create and the richer they get, so they get more deals. It’s like a perpetual motion machine and we’ve all somehow gotten caught in it. I need to quit you.
… girls who wear peplum tops and look cute? I love the look, but the look doesn’t love me. Teach me your ways. Or is the trend over now? If so, nevermind.
… people who make perfect omelets? I am not the greatest cook but am decent and the art of making an omelet completely eludes me. I try all the time and just end up with scrambled eggs. Every time. Eff you omelets, I didn’t even want you.
Those are just a few of the things that currently confuse me. After my last post, some of you mentioned things that you don’t get either (also several of you suggested tips for me to create a perfect cat eye, but still not happening, sigh). So I want you all to share your moments – basically anything that you’re no good at or that confuses you.
