Is Your Pet Overweight or the #PerfectWeight?

I believe you have all met my pugs before. You know – those lumps who snooze the day away and beg for extra treats like it’s their job. I have a strange pride that my pugs aren’t overweight since puggies typically can have more health/weight problems than usual for dogs. Though they could probably use a little more exercise, we are careful to not overfeed them. We know that a healthy weight will help our pugs live a longer and healthier life.

So we all know it’s important to keep our pets at the perfect weight but how do you know if you have an overweight cat or dog? It can be tough to know if our pets are overweight, so check out this video if you need help to assess your pet’s weight -

It’s not as easy as it sounds to figure out if our furbabies are overweight since a recent survey by the Association for Pet Obesity and Prevention found that only 11% of owners of overweight pets realized it. This is scary since added weight can cause lots of health problems for our pets, so it’s important for us pet parents to help them shed the weight.

Hill’s® Science Diet® Perfect Weight is a pet food that has a blend of natural ingredients to help pets burn more calories, regardless of their activity level.
