Forever 21 Belted Chiffon Shift Dress | Girl Talk Event Highlights!
This past weekend, I got the chance to attend an event called “Girl Talk” where a panel of seven Detroit-based women business owners came together to talk about how they gained success as entrepreneurs. Their stories were extremely humbling, inspiring and uplifting and left me with yet another confirmation that with great drive, perseverance, self-confidence and a lot of self-discipline, anyone can do anything they put their minds to. That includes YOU, my lovely readers! Whatever it is you are currently pursuing in your life right now, go for it, full speed ahead!
On to what I wore to the event, and some highlights!
I’ve always wanted to rock a shift dress or as some would call it, a shirt dress. I’ve been a bit hesitant about them because they aren’t form fitting, but I realize that this particular fact is actually the beauty of these dresses. Because they simply flow off of you, you don’t have to worry about sucking anything in, or your dress shifting around too much. They are comfortable and can be very glamorous and/or professional with the right pairings. When I spotted this dress at Forever 21, I HAD to have it, and at only $24 bucks it was a steal for such a glamorous, versatile piece. Enjoy!
