Pääsikö sammakko suusta? Tai onko pata soimannut kattilaa viime aikoina? Maailma on täynnä toinen toistaan hassumpia sanontoja. Oman kielensä ja kulttuurinsa kummallisille sananparsille sitä tulee tavallaan immuuniksi, mutta on helppo ymmärtää, miten hullunkurisilta ne saattavat muualta tulevista kuulostaa, kun tutkailee vieraiden kielten sanontoja. Translation: Heard any crazy sayings lately? You kind of become immune to the idioms of your own language and culture but it is easy to realise how nutty some of the sayings actually are when you try to translate them into another language. Something that seems completely normal in your own mother tongue doesn't make any sense when you try to translate and explain it to someone from another culture. :D I spotted this funny series of pictures while I was surfing online. It gives a little sneak peek to the crazy and clever proverbs from all around the world.
