Learning To Be Still...

It's raining here, this morning... ..the flowers are LOVING it!

... as I sat, having "quiet time" this morning, I listened to the rain, thinking of the words to the Mercy Me song, "Word of God Speak". The song says, "Word of God speak, won't You pour down like rain, washing my eyes to see Your majesty?"

..."to be still, and know that You're in this place..."

"Please let me stay and rest in Your holiness... Word of God speak."

I'm a chatty person... sometimes too chatty, I've found.

I can talk my way into a problem, just as quickly as I can talk my way out of one.

Something I've been trying harder to do, especially in my communication with God, is to be still.

"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

I'm learning to listen more, and talk less.... let God work things out, without my interference. That's kind of difficult for me, but I'm learning... slowly.
