Pepta-Bright Revisited - The Verdict.

I promised to write a a follow up to my experience using the groundbreaking new product, Pepta-Bright which promised to deliver a pronounced difference to pigmentation, dark spots and skin radiance.

I dutifully used it as instructed for three months, patiently waiting to see an improvement in tone and clarity. In short, it didn't make much difference to my skin. The only thing the light serum (which looks like a cream) did succeed in doing was keeping it moisturised but I have 101 products which do that so it doesn't gain any bonus points for doing what anything I apply to my face should do as a given. It possibly made my skin look a little brighter, but I get the same effect from wearing a peach blush - in fact maybe it was the blush, which is MAC Fleurpower by the way!

The end.

In all seriousness though I was thoroughly disappointed to see no change to either my pigmentation or dark spots and if anyone knows about the woes of skin pigmentation it's me. I didn't see any evidence of this contributing to cell turnover or evening my skin tone either.

Oh well, back to the drawing board I though as I chucked this in the bin. I've since been using something else for the past couple of months which has surprised me somewhat, so I'll be blogging about that soon.

If you genuinely suffer from visible (key word here!) pigmentation issues, just do yourself a favour and save your money.
