I Heart Heels: What was your life like before TV? Did you ever dream you would be working for E! News one day? Ali Fedotowsky: Never in a million years did I think I would work for E! News. It was always one of my favorite shows and it's really incredible to be a part of it now. Before TV, I worked at Facebook and before that, I worked for a company that was subcontracted by the IRS. I wrote taxpayer satisfaction reports. Ha! Part of my job was to write the reports and make sure they were error free in terms of spelling and grammar. The funny thing is I'm
terrible with grammar, so as you can imagine, this wasn't my favorite job. I was really bad at it. Then I found a home at Facebook and
loved it. I worked with so many driven, intelligent people who encouraged me to be my best self every day. It was awesome.
In terms of my personal life, I lived in San Francisco in the Marina district and absolutely loved it. Sometimes I miss it. But my personal life is so wonderful right now I don't miss it too much!
IHH: What's one of your favorite things about your new gig as an E! News correspondent? AF: The people I work with. I really admire and look up to many of the people I work with. I see how hard they work and it makes me want to work harder. We put on a brand-new, hour-long show every day. That isn't easy! There are a lot of incredible people working behind the scenes that the viewers never see.
