A Day of Outlet Mall Shopping

This photo at Saks Off Fifth pretty much sums it all up: Shopping Is My Cardio. (gotta love Wildfox Couture, one of my fav brands) As you know, I spent last week at the beach on vacay (sigh) and reliving these photos makes me wanna jump back in the car and go back (um, minus the screaming kids). One of my fav outlet malls of all time is the one in Destin, Florida - Silver Sands Premium Outlets. It's amazing!
I usually try to visit it every summer, and this time the team there invited me out for a day of shopping. I was so thrilled! Can you believe the Kate Spade store opened that very week? It was adorable.
Shopping these days is a little different. In fact, the last few years it's been different with just little C. We'd always let him play in the playground...or even nap in the car as a baby. With two? Holy...freaking...cow. I didn't know what I was getting into, but let's just say it was way harder (with a resulting terrible headache) than I'd ever imagined.

Because I was with them, we hit up Crewcuts, my absolute outlet must since you can't find one within five hours of our house. And little C looks adorable (and lives) in their vintage-inspired tees and khakis. This time, I even found him a green dinosaur and that silly thing saved me the entire car ride home. Go figure. I'm still trying to force him to wear the flip-flops he said he'd wear at the time (I think it was more of a yeah, ok...can we go now?).

Next we hit up our other essential, Polo Ralph Lauren where they had these tiny purses. Squeal! Polo is a must for little C because I'm not kidding when I say he owns every color Polo tee made. And then he pairs them with Polo athletic shorts. We've called them horsey shirts and horsey shorts since he was tiny. He adores, so I adore. So easy & classic, and the outlet mall prices are jaw-dropping. Everything was 40-percent off when I went, so I bought baby L a ruffle romper to ring in the Fourth in style. Blush.
This is where they both began to tire, so luckily my dad took little C outside to entertain, and my mom fed baby L some expressed milk in a bottle. I hate to say it, but after that they were terrible. little C became hungry and tired, and baby L needed a diaper change and nap. My trip for moi to Saks Off Fifth (my personal fav because they have every designer brand I love in one spot) was way more rushed than I'd hoped. I did scour the racks, and scooped up some Splendid stripes, of course. Just $50! These tees are just so practical for me these days. I haven't stopped wearing it (insert groggy photo of me on the 12-hour trip home.)

I really enjoyed the shopping I did, but next time I'll remember to hit up my stores first. Or heck, leave everyone else at the beach house. :) 2015 awaits.
Thank you to the team at Silver Sands for hosting me! It was a beautiful (albeit hot!) day of shopping!
P.S. If you wanna know what a lifesaver the "piggyback" on our Uppababy stroller was, let me tell ya. It was major. little C could just hop on it while I pushed baby L all around the mall and he never had to complain of being "tired of walking." And it was fun!
