Tarte Cosmetics launches in the UK on QVC

Whether you've heard of the fabulous US cosmetics brand tarte or not, the beauty secret of many make-up artists, bloggers and celebs, like Cate Blanchett and Kate Bosworth, is coming to the UK thanks to QVC. I was invited to a swanky launch event at the chic Sushi Samba bar last week to celebrate tarte launching exclusively in the UK on QVC on 28th March, where we were greeted by showgirls and given a tarte make-over.

The natural and cruelty-free beauty range was created after the founder Maureen Kelly’s trip to the Rainforest where she saw powerful ingredients and how they were used. Every tarte product uses unique, high performance naturals, that deliver strong results which last for 12 hours. The key ingredients used in the products are:

• Amazonian clay, extracted from the banks of the Amazon River in the heart of Brazil, proven to give skin an overall smooth, nourished and even appearance
• Maracuja oil, derived from exotic passion fruits instantly quenching dry skin to reveal a healthy, radiant complexion

Powerful ingredients like superfruit and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, essential oils and other naturally- derived ingredients are delivered in very pretty packages with stunning colours and textures to give a really flawess look.

What really impressed me during my tarte make-over was the gorgeous tarte Amazonian clay full coverage foundation which went on smoothly, gave amazing coverage but didn't feel heavy or cakey on my skin. It also covered minor imperfections without the need for concealer - always handy. I loved the beautifully neutral shades of the blusher and lipstick, making tarte a contender for my wedding day make-up brand of choice!

I'm thinking of doing my own make-up on my wedding day next year, so plan to try out quite a few brands who offer make-up with staying power - so stay tuned. Recommendations or brands I should try out welcome!
