nine months

Nine months! My little girl is three quarters of the way to being a year old. It's so crazy how fast time moves. One day you want your baby to hurry up and hit all the important milestones and then the next thing you know they have and you just want to go back to that tiny little one month old who would sleep on your chest for hours.

Weight: 18 lbs 13 oz Height: 27.5"

Health It's been a stellar month for Emily when it comes to her health. She hasn't had any ear infections, colds, stomach bugs... nothing. I know I'm probably jinxing myself by saying that, especially with our big trip coming up in just a few days.

Sleep Nap time hasn't improved much from last month, but it hasn't really gotten any worse either. Little Sister is getting a good 9 consecutive hours of sleep at night though. She has started this thing recently where she is constantly moving around in her sleep for the first hour or two after she is put to bed at night. It drives me crazy because I'm so worried she's going to wake herself up and we'll have to start the bedtime routine all over again.
Diet Emily's main source of nutrition is still her formula. She's currently taking seven ounces in every bottle, as well as having a jar of fruit and oatmeal in the mornings and a jar of veggies at night. We just recently introduced turkey and chicken into her diet as she seems to really like both of them. She has also tried a few things off of my plate lately: biscuit, bread, cooked carrots and mashed potatoes. I won't give her too big of a piece for fear of her choking.

Milestones We officially have a "cruiser." Is that still the word for babies that hold onto things like the coffee table and walk around it? If so, then we definitely have one of those and now nothing in our house is safe. I've considered just moving the coffee table upstairs so that we don't have to worry about head injuries for the next few months. She also has three words in her vocabulary now: mama, dada and bye-bye.
