13 in 2013 check-in [july-september]

Back in January I made a list of 13 goals I wanted to accomplish in 2013. Every few months I've been doing a sort of check-in post to see where I'm at with my list. Let's just say that today's check-in is more of a "hey, look at everything I haven't done" type of deal. So, that's fun.

The List
Write 200 blog posts. - I'm at 178 for the year and still have three months to go. As long as the rest of the year isn't a repeat of September, this should be no problem.

Don't miss a week of my 52 week photo challenge. - You can read about my photo challenge here. I've missed several weeks now, but I think I'm still at the point where I've done more than I've missed. Score.

Go to the beach. - This didn't happen, which is sad. I could definitely use a beach trip right about now. We did take that awesome trip to Alaska though, so that mostly makes up for it.

Lose 30 pounds. - About two weeks ago I was down to 110 and finally fitting comfortably into most of my old jeans. I don't really drink sodas anymore and I try to eat more fruits and veggies. My new goal is to eat less fast food. That one will probably take some time.

Get 100 followers for my blog via Google Friend Connect. - DONE.

Pay off at least half of our credit card debt. - This was mostly for Dustin's benefit, as I do not even have any credit card debt. I have been working on some student loans, which is quite depressing when you look at the amount of loans and then take into account the fact that I didn't finish school.

Learn to sew. - I suppose I should start by purchasing a sewing machine. There's a good chance I will not be able to do this anytime soon since I've started my photography business again.

Teach Alyssa to swim without floaties. - Her dad did this on their summer vacation. Semi-score. It counts.

Join a book club (or start one). - Sadly enough, I haven't had time to read a book in months. I did try starting a book club with some friends, but only two of us read the book.

Don't cut my hair all year (except for the dead ends). - We can go ahead and call this one a fail; I have an appointment this Saturday to get my hair cut. I'm chopping it off like Julianne Hough in Safe Haven. I'm obsessed with that hair and hopefully it won't look totally awful.

Find a photographer who is just getting started and have family photos done. - I may be too picky for this. I wonder if I could have a friend do them with my own camera and edit them myself. Control freak alert. I can't even help it.

Make a scrapbook of Emily's first year of life. - Despite the fact that I haven't even printed off any photos or updated the frames in my house in months, I would still like to do this. It may just be a project for next year.

Turn my blog into a book. - I keep forgetting to look into this. I'm worried it will be super expensive. Can anyone recommend a good site for this?
