Le jardin de Pamplemousse – MAURITIUS -

Good morning :) You may not believe me but I still have some pictures to publish from Mauritius! I know that these are not the kind of pictures that we want to see now but I really want to post all these stunning and beautiful pictures!

I must confess that when we were thinking about our honeymoon and where to go, we were pretty sure since the first minute: we wanted beach, an isle as destination and pure relax, that’s all. Even though we went with the idea of “just chilling and take it easy” we felt a little bit guilty for not visiting the entire isle… So two days before coming home, we went to Pamplemousse botanical garden, one of the most famous garden in the world because all the rare tree and flowers species that can be found there. We were so surprised and we really enjoyed the visit, it was magical to feel so little among all the super tall trees. Indeed, we saw giant tortoises and in the way back to the hotel, we stopped at Port Louis market to buy some spices, taste fresh coconut water and try sweet peanuts which are famous there :) Anyway, I will do a little trip diary to tell you more about this paradise!

Buenos días chicas :) Lo creáis o no, aún me quedan algunas fotos por enseñaros de Mauricio :) Ya sé que ahora no apetece nada de nada ver estas fotos pero me encantan todas y me daría mucha pena dejarlas tan sólo en el ordenador!

Tengo que confesar que cuando pensamos en nuestra luna de miel y donde queríamos ir, lo tuvimos claro desde el principio: queríamos playa, una isla y mucho relax, nada más. Y aunque íbamos con la idea de “nada de turismo, sólo playa” teníamos muchos remordimientos pensando que habíamos ido hasta Mauricio pero que nos íbamos a volver sin haber conocido la isla bien… Así que dos días antes de volvernos, dejamos la playa e hicimos un poco de turismo. Fuimos al jardín botánico Pamplemousse, uno de los jardines más famosos del mundo ya que se pueden encontrar especies que sólo existen ahí. Me sorprendió muchísimo, por la cantidad de árboles tan enormes y altísimos que había, plantas, frutos y semillas, y las hermosas palmeras reales que son muy típicas de Cuba y son altísimas. Además, también vimos un parque de tortugas gigantes que me impresionó y a la vuelta hacia el hotel, paramos en el mercado de Port Louis a comprar especias, beber agua de coco fresca y probar los cacachuetes garrapiñados que son muy típicos allí :) De todos modos, voy a preparar un pequeño diario de viaje contandoos más cosas de Mauricio!
