If you follow me on instagram (@vintagevandal), then you have seen the amazing images Lars Kommienezuspadt has taken of me. I recently shot with him at my friend’s place and it was probably one of the best shoots I have ever had. He was really great to work with and I felt super comfortable with him. He just knows all of the right angles, gives great direction, and just knows how to capture the best of you. I have only seen a few images thus far and they have all been absolutely incredible which doesn’t surprise me as he has shot some of my friends as well and their photos were just as amazing. I mean, how pretty does Doris Mayday look in the photo above? There is a romanticism to his work; a sensuality to every single photo that goes unparalleled. Since his work has been widely recognized all over the globe Lars may be traveling to a city near you. Next month, he is hosting a photo session event called NOIR at the downtown Millennium Biltmore Hotel on August 1st & 2nd where he will be collaborating with great talent so he could give you the best photos you have ever seen. The event did so well last year that he had to do one again this year. After LA he will be in Minneapolis for another NOIR event that will be held September 13th & 14th at Hotel 340 in downtown St. Paul. Both events are all-inclusive and offer hair by the amazing Tony Medina of His Vintage Touch and makeup and wardrobe styling by Lars’ partner in crime, Yuli Xenexai of Teaser By Yuli. Lars will be shooting classic black and white Old Hollywood style photos in three separate packages called “Hepburn”, “Harlow” and “Monroe”.
