It’s Aje In The Details
There is nothing quite like a glimpse behind the scenes to appreciate the numerous factors that come into play in order to
articulate a designer’s vision. Much like my practice approach as an Occupational Therapist showcasing a designer’s collection is very much a holistic process, involving input from a diverse team. Not to mention the incredible level of detail that goes into each piece, hair and makeup, styling and creative direction that can often get lost during a seemingly light speed runway viewing.
When it comes to Aje it’s all about the details. Known for their amazing flair with textures this collection did not disappoint. Striking just the right balance with floaty fabrics, flattering silhouettes, raw organic edges and amazing beading, sequins and floral embroidery. Combined with the odd dreamy leather injection that added another layer to the incredibly tactile friendly collection. Often the presence of such details can project a more mature vibe yet Edwina and Adrian have mastered the urban cool meets glamorous girl with their pieces. Oh and don’t get me started on the model’s dreamy, relaxed waves.
