It's such a shame how I'd been M.I.A. on the first couple of days of the brand new year when it's one of my resolutions to frequent my blog. Although I've been infesting my Twitter with how I can't stop eating and how liberating it is to finally get a break from university stuff, I opted to shut myself from the world in all the other ways for a little while.
The truth is I wanted to make the most out of this semester break. I practically did not get a holiday vacation since I still had an ill-functioning expert system to salvage over Christmas and New Year's Day, and a major coursework deadline was under my nose. I haven't gotten myself a decent rest since the Fall semester began so I really intended to totally exploit this semester break.
Another truth is that I've been feeling apathetic towards people lately. The culprit: social media. Perhaps I tend to absorb all the negativity and annoying stuff floating around social media when I'm in the trough of my enthusiasm-in-life-curve. I also have the polar vortex to blame because for some reason, the cold weather causes my erratic mood. With too many stuff going on in and out my mind, I thought it would be better if I took a little downtime. I recently have only been seeing the good in food, sleep and a good book; wine and a good movie at night. But I can't be in downtime forever; in fact Winter semester is already peeking over the edge. And it's the final semester until I'm officially a degree holder!!! I can't wait to get a job and buy myself Louboutins.
Anyway, I again had a Persunmall haul. You can't blame me, the store is filled with fab goodies! I got this chiffon polka-heart blouse which I really, really like - it's very striking and trendy and feminine. It's reminiscent to this one piece from Burberry Prorsum FW13 collection that was seen on many celebrities like Lily Collins, Chloe Moretz and my forever icon Victoria Beckham. I also got this pretty messenger bag that screams 'bring it on, winter semester' (or is it just me?) and this gem embellished cuff to complete the ensemble.
