Swarovski creations are indubitably a quintessence of refinement, glamour and modernity, and its new collection is a total encapsulation all that is synonymous to the label. Celebrating the heart of the company: lights, facets, and reflections, the collection is called Facets of Light.
The crystal label's ravishing Autumn/Winter 2014 collection was unveiled before the eyes of its Qatar-based patrons with an equally splendid night of scrumptious cakes, groovy lounge mixes, and gleaming faces last 23rd September at one of Qatar's upscale gallerias, Lagoona Mall.

“My constant search for modernity will meet refinement, glamour and femininity in this collection that celebrates lights, facets and reflections,” said Swarovski's Creative Director, Nathalie Colin, on the new collection's inspirations. "All in all, this collection perfectly exemplifies Swarovski’s DNA by combining art, fashion and creation in a sparkling way," she concluded.
Facets of Light channels different energies, but its centerpieces appear to be the mixed metal pieces, which are sophisticated as they are edgy, featuring polished mixed-plated metals, minimalist lines and glimmering crystals. Another highlight of the collection is the Stardust bracelets - which are my personal favorite - featuring tiny crystals sheathed in tubes of nylon. These bands of gloriousness are available in different lengths; they can be worn alone, but best when stacked or worn in an arm candy. Oh, did I mention they can also be rocked as a necklace or a hair accessory? Swarovski didn't miss to include the classic delicate pieces of jewelry designed to add sparkle to any outfit, as well as the edgier, rocker-fitting pieces, which feature opulent embellishments and Baroque and Aztec inspirations.
Playing with sophisticated colors and innovative techniques, Swarovski presents yet another collection that is timeless, wearable and can be appreciated by everyone.
