WARNING: LOTS OF TEXT IN THIS POST!

Been fortunate enough to get my grubby fat hands on some new things over the last few months/weeks that I haven’t been able to post up on here yet. It’s always nice to be gifted stuff but really, the real satisfaction comes from buying something you really really wanted..at a really really good price. I think it’s always worth it to wait around. Whilst I do have a few “ming pai” luxury brand things, I always always try to get them on sale and it’s ALWAYS worth it to wait. With a pretty common shoe size like mine (EU38), sometimes you can still manage to find the pair of shoes you were oooogling at months before now on sale! Here’s a mixed bag of goods that I’ve recently bought and yes, some were gifted. Don’t forget to always stay grounded though!!

I finally caved in and bought my first Wool and the Gang DIY kit: the Whistler Scarf. I knew how to basic knit already so I wanted to start myself off with something easy. I also purchased the tartan snood but since it’s warming up here, I haven’t felt the urge to knit knit knit. The gifted Matahari clutch is so soft and big enough to fit all my stuff in but my favourite part is the shape! I call it my dumpling bag and I love that it reminds me so much of a missed Miu Miu clutch that I really wanted many many years ago (THIS one you’ve all seen in THIS photo of MK Olsen). Scored these TOGA Archives mixed bag of 5 bracelets for SUCH a good price at the LC outlet. I love love love a good sale/outlet and I am NOT afraid to say I shop there and OFTEN too.

I scored this beautiful ACNE Studios Klippan blanket also at an outlet. Jason and I have a slight obsession with blankets and quilts…we already have a huge fluffy Muji blanket, a furry Zara Home blanket, this Pendleton blanket, this Japanese-made cowboy blanket that we hung up on the wall and many more smaller more blanketty/rug type ones. Okay but how could I have turned away from this epic wooly Acne one (and at a really good price)? It now sits on top of our Eames chair that Sumo LOOOOVES taking over whenever the seat isn’t occupied. I’m pretty sure we’re going to be keeping the air conditioning at sub-zero temperatures this summer just so we can continue to snuggle under all our blankets.

Ah yes, the Proenza Schouler x Mac Cosmetics. The OMGs heard all around the world as the collection images started to reveal themselves online a couple of months ago and now finally, the collection is finally out! Guys the packaging is beyond beautiful and the subtle wearable colors of every item blends itself so easily into your make-up routine which I bet is already full with too many steps. Giving my NARS Gilda blush a break for this super pretty #PSMAC ombré blush and I haven’t been able to leave the house lately without a swipe of the super light and moisturizing Primrose dark purple lipppppy.

My mom finally let me take home her old vintage Chanel bag. I use this so often when I’m back in HK and now I’m kind of scared to use it TOO often cos it really does wear down a little on the corners and stuff. As for this cute little guy, saw him way too many times looking at me at PageOne at the airport and I ended up getting him, I mean he flips into a super mogu neck pillow!!! Now that I’m traveling more often, and taking earlier (cheaper!) flights, I need this guy to help me snore away! Get your own Kikkerland Bear beck pillow here!

Oh gosh gosh these Charles Phillip Inna flats. So so so pretty and flattering BUT to be honest, they totally wrecked the back of my ankle for weeks now. I wore it out for literally 15 minutes and went home with BLEEDING ANKLES (⁎˃ᆺ˂) I just don’t know what to do cos I love them so much (HELP!) AND I was lucky enough to get a custom pair made from this beautiful silk and leather. The custom options at the semi-new Maison CP in Shanghai is so amazing. You can literally pick anything you want from their HUGE array of cloths and cuts. Like I picked this silk pattern with a pretty moth/butterfly wings print but it also had some weird pink flowers mixed in there but they were able to just cut out the black and white parts for my custom Inna flats. AMAZING. In the center, these Gram x Carin Wester Heavy Chain sandals were gifted from Square Street, the cutest little shop ON Square Street in Hong Kong. The duo designers behind GRAM shoes also run the shop and they teamed up with Carin Wester (one of my fav Swedish designers) to make these limited edition sandals. They are exactly what I (and everyone else) need for summer. They’re the chunkier, more hardcore (more me basically) take on the slinky strappy sandals trend. LOVE them.

Another OH GOSH OH GOSH moment. This Balenciaga crown. NO WORDS. Just NO WORDS. I found it again at an outlet and thought about it so much after leaving that I just had to go back to get it. I knew right away specifically that I wanted to save it for a special occasion and I definitely have a major occasion in mind already ꒰⌗´͈ ᵕ ॣ`͈⌗꒱৩

Missy Skins Midnite vest

Missy Skins Gun Print top

Stopped over at the Missy Skins studio a couple of weeks ago to FONDLE, and I sincerely FONDLED, all the extremely buttery soft leather and suede from their core and Spring Summer collections. I only recently discovered this China-based Norwegian and locally sourced leather brand through the sweet love of instagram and upon getting in contact with them, realised that I had actually met one of the owners Jessica Brus ages ago one Shanghai easy breezy night. It’s these kinds of young brands being run by really dedicated and passionate fashion lovers that are so great to work with. You really feel like they love what they’re doing, and they are 1000% behind their product down to the very end. It helps that their leather pieces are so soft you can almost sleep in them (if you’re that fancy) and Jessica swears that wearing suede in the summer is actually really cooling against your skin (as tested on her recent trip to the Caribbean!). So excited to pair this sweet hardcore pink gun print suede crop top over my grandma highwaist skirts and yknow what, I’ll throw on this Midnite vest over too cos you can never ever have enough leather.

Eugenia Kim leather knot headband (also dying for this easier to wear headband version), Greenlaundry Pom Pom headband and Missy Skins leather twist-tie headband.

Okay I’m going through this weird weird random headband obsession right now. I think it’s this weird growing out not really a lob (a long bob) or shoulder length mop of a hairblob I have on top of my head. Throw on a headband and boom, you are instantly distracted away from my weird roots like magic. This Eugenia Kim leather knot elastic headband is SO good and whenever I wear it, I pretend I’m a SS07 Prada genie. Managing to find this headband on sale at Intermix was a dreaaaaam. Other additions to the collection: this super cute pompom headband from the cutest Singapore shop Greenlaundry (hand made by Melly!) who also sells the cutest pom pom hangings and home stuff. Lastly, another fun Missy Skins item: this again ooey gooey soft leather twist-tie headband. Sumo obviously loves it too.

One of the best jewellery shops in HK is back from their major renovation! Make sure you go check out their newly designed shop at 1204, One Lyndhurst Tower. Guess where I’ll be next week picking out some new jewellery for Summer!

PHEWPH Told you this post was gonna be loooooots of text! Thanks for sticking around ʕ•̫͡•ʕ*̫͡*ʕ•͓͡•ʔ-̫͡-ʕ•̫͡•ʔ*̫͡*ʔ-̫͡-ʔ
