Hi Roadies! It's Julia here today with one of my favorite recent projects. I love mini albums as they are such fun projects and the fact that they are "mini" makes them so doable in a busy life. Let's face it...scrapbooking can be a huge project and it's hard to know when and where to stop and start. With mini albums, it's much easier. There's only so many pages and so you just pick a theme and start enjoying the creative process.
One of my favorite things about mini albums is they are great for using all kinds of paper crafting goodies on. I love making a collage of random elements and the front of a mini album is a great place to layer them on...the more the merrier.
The cover gives a peek at some of the beautiful CHA releases from Maya Road. I adore the new charms and resin pieces.
Chipboard mini albums are great for altering in many ways. On the scalloped edge pages, I've covered them using a flat white acrylic paint. Sanding the edges after they are dry adds to the shabby chic look that I was going for.
By keeping a color combo throughout the mini album, you can change up the embellishments and still get a cohesive look.
I was having so much fun adding bits and pieces to this mini album that it got a little large for the rings. Ribbon was an easy swap-out and adds a soft and pretty way to bind the album.
