Top 5 Favourite NYFW Runway Moments

If you followed New York Fashion Week day by day, you know a lot of amazing things came out of it. Designers always know how to surprise the fashion industry and without a doubt they did it again. There is so much about NYFW to cover and without attending it’s quite difficult to capture the real essence of the show. However, I followed it as closely as I could and have narrowed down my top 5 favourite runway moments/collections.

5. Ralph Lauren

The balance of monochromatic and fluorescent ensembles made for a great collection. I loved the simplicity and clean cut edges.

4. Oscar De La Renta

I loved his collection of beautiful dresses. I thought it was amazing that the dresses ranged from more everyday wearable to ball gown-like. He too incorporated monochromatic and bright colours but included a variety of patterns and textures.

3. Nicholas K

I really liked this collection, it’s definitely down my ally. I enjoy a loose drapey fit and the white and nude colours are so classy. I would totally wear every piece in this collection.

2. Donna Karen New York (DKNY)

I absolutely loved her collection. The use of so many different patterns, textures and colours really pulled the whole collection together. To top it all off, she even closed the show with Rita Ora!

1. The Blonds

The dynamic duos collection definitely stood out to me. Their outrageous style made an impression not to forget shortly. Incorporating their famous pop culture theme and corsets, the patterns, sparkle and unique designs were stunning.

Although I was unable to attend this year, it’s my dream to attend NYFW this time next year! In the meantime, keep a lookout for a London Fashion Week post. Have a great Monday!
