Chalky Paint Finish File Cabinet

Along time ago, so long ago that I can't remember when, but before 2000, we bought two cheap file cabinets. You know the kind, with the laminate finish to look like wood. We moved around a lot then and we had a long piece of counter top that we put across the two file cabinets to form a desk. It was multipurpose and didn't take up a lot of room. It worked great.
When we bought our house, we put them under counter tops, so you couldn't see them, so it didn't really matter what they looked like.
