Too easy a title, isn't it? While all seasons have their merits, it feels like all this 'British heritage' business really comes into its own in the spring-time. National Trust properties re-open their doors after the winter slumber, and the long-awaited country walks resume, with or without bluebell trails. It's all idyllic until one remembers how little one has covered of one's reading list - oops. Come to think of it, SOS brb I've forgotten everything about Browning apart from that poem (!)
