My top 5 favorite lipsticks
I used to be an eyeshadow girl. Now I'm a total lipstick lover. Simple eyes, a strong cheek, and bold lips is what I'm all about. So here are the lipsticks that I'm loving at the moment, and a few are longtime loves.
Essence Longwear Lipstick in Dare To Wear
This is a recent favorite of mine. Recent as in I've only been using it for only a week but over the course of the week I've fallen in love with it. It's worth far more than its $2.99 price tag. For a longwear lipstick, it's surprisingly lightweight and non-drying. And the color! Dare To Wear is a really nice slightly deep red. Perfection.

ck One Pure Color Lipstick in Liplock
If you haven't tried the ck One lipsticks at Ulta, you need to. They run $16 and are just fabulous. They really are pure color and go on like a dream. They're heavier on the lips that the Essence lipsticks though, but that's not something that bothers me. Liplock is a gorgeous dark cool toned berry shade. It's a longtime favorite of mine. I've been using it since the line was released almost 2 years ago.

MAC Lipstick in Dare You
MAC lipsticks are (or were) my addiction. I don't buy them as often as I used to, probably because I have everything that I like (and a lot that I don't like). Dare You is an Amplified Creme lipstick. The name perfectly describes the texture...very creamy. It's a nice deep autumn red so it's perfect for the cooler months.

MAC Lipstick in Russian Red
Russian Red *sigh* It's been my go-to red for years now. YEARS. It was one of my first MAC lipsticks about 8 years ago and the one that I repurchase most. It's just the perfect, matte, true red.

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Berry
Too Faced Melted Berry is another new favorite of mine. I've heard some mixed thoughts on the Melted lipsticks but I personally love them. They're a liquid lipstick and apply super smooth. My only complaint is the packaging...the felt tip applicator doesn't allow for precision at all. I always have to use a lip brush to get a nice crisp edge. Melted Berry is a really nice red-toned berry shade.
