Howl-o-ween 2013

Happy Halloween everybody!

We get pretty excited for Halloween in our house because it doubles as Casey's "birthday." Three years ago today we picked Casey up and brought him home with us, one of the best days of our lives (I'd like to think he'd list it as a highpoint in his life, too).

I had to decide between two costumes this year. I purchased one online, and although it's really cute, last week I became obsessed with the idea of him being Harry Potter. In my search for a costume (sold out everywhere, it seems) I came across a DIY Harry Potter dog costume how-to that seemed doable, even for me, so I broke out the sewing machine last weekend and here's the result:

The Gryffindor scarf was made (very quickly!) by Melissa of issa.ino handmade. All proceeds from her etsy shop are going to her 100 Quilts, 100 Kids project (which you can read about on her blog) so check out her amazing handmade goods!

Even Hedwig made an appearance...
