Walk the Walk: Marc Jacobs F/W 2015 Collection

Marc Jacobs left his creative director position at Louis Vuitton in October 2013, and after that, his last 2 collections (F/W 2014 & S/S 2015) for his own label were a bit toned down and less glamourous compare to his previous collections. However, for the F/W 2015 collection, Marc wants to make a statement that his warm up period is over and he is coming back in full force.

Diana Vreeland is the muse of this collection, and personally I think this is a perfect choice because this former Editor in Chief of Vogue was so glamourous, fashion forward and modern. At the same time, when looking at this collection, I feel like Marc has injected a few signature elements from his Louis Vuitton era into here (the fur trim, the sheer skirt, the print etc). The silhouette shows the feminine side of the Marc Jacobs' girl, which is very different than his S/S 2015 collection.

It's very rare for me to say, but I love everything in this collection. It's a good balance of wearable and non-wearable pieces, and the use of sequins and fur adds a sophisticated touch to the garments. Welcome back Marc, and I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next season!

Pros:
- This collection contains the flares from Marc Jacobs' Louis Vuttion era. The sheer skirt, the splash print, the fur trim, and thin belt are some of the examples.
- Diana Vreeland is the perfect muse for this fashion house. She is fashionable and modern.
- The silhouettes in this collection really show the beauty of women. Feminine, romantic, and daring are the words immediately come up to my mind.
- The entire collection is very sparkly, and somehow it reminds me of the Art Deco era.
- Love the use of fur and sequins here.

Eye Candies:
- Metallic multi-colour coat
- Jacket with fur sleeves and collar
- Cape with splash strokes
- Circular pattern sequin gown
- Sheer floral lace gown
