Gifts for the Wanderer

There’s something about an airport that makes me a roller coaster of emotion. I realize that’s probably a little bizarre, but who are we to judge my psyche? When I fly into the Detroit airport, I’m immediately overtaken with a calmness that only comes from being near my family. When I soar over the Chicago skyline into O’Hare, I remember why I moved to the city and how much I love it here. A new destination brings a new airport and a new set of opportunities to explore.

Then again, airports are the worst. Long lines, terrible food, overpriced bottles of water. It’s a good thing they bring the promise of adventure.

Where will your wanderlust lead you next?

1 | This oversized blanket scarf by Pieces will keep a traveller warm (and stylin’) when the germ rag known as an airplane blanket just won’t cut it – via Asos.

2 | Headphones are the universal signal for Don’t Talk to Me. Make sure the message is loud and clear with these FRENDS x BaubleBar stunners. Change the caps to suit any mood plus get a pair of post-plane earrings that give good sparkle. (Insert music to my ears joke here.)

3 | Even frequent travelers have a home base. This print by The Oyster’s Pearl will remind them why.

4 | The Urban Decay Naked palettes deserve the fanfare makeup addict give them year after year. The limited edition Naked On the Run palette saves room for a suitcase filled with homebound souvenirs.

5 | Like the world’s worst TSA line, airplanes will suck the life out of your skin. This Josie Maran multi-tasking moisturizer will work on lips, hands, and face before, during, and after a long trip.

6 | If you’ve got a Ban.do Back Me Up mobile charger, you don’t have to fight for a spot at the charging station when your flight gets delayed.

7 | In case the headphones aren’t clear enough for Bruno, the insurance salesman in seat 14 B.
