The Dolce Vita

I've wanted the Charlotte Tilbury entire range Luxury Eyeshadow palette in The Dolce Vita since it first launched but as I have more than enough palettes I didn't end up purchasing it. One of my lovely friends was kind enough to buy it for me for Christmas and as you can imagine there was a squeal as I unwrapped it.

I've used it almost every day since; the colours are simply stunning, you can get both a day and evening looks out of it, which I love. The Dolce Vita shades are typically designed for brown or green eyes and since mine are somewhere in between I think it works really well. The palette is made up of four warm colours which all work beautifully together but I would also quite happily use them all individually as a wash of colour all over the eyelid. My favourite colour is the top right Enhance as I really love these dark warm colours and the quality is extremely buttery and soft. I thought that Pop would be my favourite (bottom left) however I find the quality to be inferior to the other shadows and it doesn't offer any where near as much pigmentation. That said it's still a great asset to the palette and I like to just use my ring finger to press the colour onto my lids.

I love how versatile this palette is and how easy it is to use, it's also a great one for anyone who is new to eyeshadow or that panics a little when they are faced with a palette with too many colour (blog post here). There are some great videos on YouTube showing the palette in action both from YouTubers and Charlotte herself.

This palette is worth every penny and I now have my eyes on the shade Vintage Vamp.
