Je t'aime Paris pt.4

(Outfit: top - H&M, skort & bag - Primark, shoes - River Island) (Locations: Jardin des Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Parc Monceau)
The sunniest and hottest day I have ever been to Paris was during this 4th day of the holiday. It was that day that we decided since it was really sunny to therefore take advantage and have a picnic by the Champs-Élysées. We sat under a tree by the garden and ate baguette with cheese and cold meat just like Parisians do but being Asian we also included some sushi in the mix. Then we played with grapes by trying to shoot it in each others mouths like basketball but smaller and less hurtful I suppose.
We walked up the avenue to the Arc and queued up to go up and see the panoramic view from the Arc's perspective and as you can see, it definitely did not disappoint. As we came down we got to witness up front the lighting of the flame for the unknown soldier buried under the arc and the French soldiers and veterans paying respect and homage.
The final stop of the day was Parc Monceau which was quite a walk from the Arc but we didn't mind as it was sunny and warm. The park alike many other parks in Paris is a jogging, book-reading, sleeping, relaxing and pic-nicking destination for many. There are also bits of history in the park with an Egyptian Pyramid and Colonnade dating back to the 1700s.
