Giveaway :: Birthday books!!

Birthday week calls for birthday presents!!

Steal Like an Artist and 5: Where Will You be Five Years from Today? are two books I read last spring that accidentally/ unknowingly affected my life in a bigger way than I expected.

Something that implied I may possibly
(but not for sure, just hypothetically of course...)
doing something like an artist
(even if it does involve stealing!)
may possibly
(but not for sure, just hypothetically of course...)
imply that I was an artist?
This was a big deal for me.

And 5,
This book suggested that I had the power to make goals that I liked. Not because a high school or college or career counselor was telling me that I should. Not because the people from my home town kept asking, "What are you doing nowadays?" Not because rent was dependent on it. Not because I had to or was forced to or because someone told me to.
Beacuse I did want to make a life that resembled the one that danced around the periphery of my conscience.

And I didn't know if either of these two books would actually help with either of those possibilities, but both were pyhysical (and graphically beautiful) reminders that I wanted that change.

I have four copies of the pair of books to givaway.
(I fully realize that 4 isn't a relevent number for a 29th birthday giveway but cut me some slack guys- I really can't afford 29 pairs of books...)
I'm asking everyone interested to follow the Four Finger Fundraiser accounts (check out the post where I mentioned them Monday). Some of you may be able to support the artists that that fundraiser is intended for. Others may fall in love with the work of other artists that are helping make this fundraiser possible. And other may not be able to help financially but may have a few extra seconds to re-tweet or share a facebook post. And for you that are not connected to the world via Facebook and Twitter, that's okay too. Nothing in this giveaway is required.
