Outfit: Birthday Girl in Le Havre

Dress: Choies, Sweater: Zara, Boots (c/o): Choies (Similar Here), Handbag: Ona
It's becoming a tradition to go to France on my birthday (or as this year it's today on a tuesday, the weekend before). As you might remember our crazy idea last year to drive to Paris so I could wake up in that gorgeous French city on my 23th birthday. So this year to celebrate my 24th birthday, we went on a 3-day trip to Le Havre and 2 other closeby towns in Normandie. We first stopped in the gorgeous seaside town of Etretat with it's impressive chalk cliffs. Then in the late afternoon we arrived in Le Havre. Saturday morning we spend in the idyllic Honfleur. We were incredibly lucky with the weather too, only a heavy rainfall just when we were in our car driving back from Honfleur to Le Havre. These photo's were taken on sunday during our sunny stroll through the Le Havre Unesco protected city-centre. And because we hadn't seen enough of Etretat (only one side of the cliffs) we returned on our way home on sunday afternoon for a pick-nick on the beach and even more stunning views as the sky was the brightest blue (opposite to somewhat misty on friday). It definitely was a great weekend, I always feel the happiest when discovering new places & to share that with my boyfriend is just pure bliss.

The upcoming posts are featuring a more severe walk-through with tips & things to do in Etretat, Le Havre & Honfleur. But I wanted to reserve my birthday for a much-needed outfit post! By the way: a little yay for updating a trip instantly for once, I promise I'm still working on those other cool NY & Amalfi Coast updates & they're finally nearing the finishing touches. But back to the outfit: you guys might recognize that gorgeous black handbag I'm carrying around. My family surprised me with it as an early gift because they thought it'd be a cool idea for me to take my new Ona fashionable camera bag with me on my little weekend getaway. Let me tell you: best present! It was truly one of the things I wanted to have the most of my wishlist. And it has proven to be so usefull already! I haven't tried all 3 lenses yet but I'm pretty sure I can neatly put them all in my body and wallet, cellphone,... Super happy really, no more digging around for money or carrying around a huge not-so-pretty backpack. I paired it with my Choies dress, which always makes me feel like a French fashionista. I've already featured it here (but in wintertime). We snapped these photo's in the little English garden on Le Square Saint-Roch. The light filtering between that pretty willow tree definitely made for the perfect backdrop! Au revoir et à bientôt!
