Korea Beauty Vacation (Part 2)

Day two in Korea was quite an eventful day.

We had a full day of activities planned by Belif's global team and after reading up on some materials about Belif, I was pretty excited to visit their physical stores in Korea and to find out more about their products. We kick-started the day with a brand introduction tour at one of the Belif's biggest stores, situated at Samcheong-dong – a popular area in Korea known for its charming mix of traditional hanok-style buildings, modern art galleries, cozy cafés and restaurants.

The Belif store at Samcheong-dong was pretty charming indeed. We were welcomed into a place neatly decorated with traditional, vintage items and there were elements of lovely earthly nature colours and textures such as soft browns, white and of course, wood too. The place housed a 'Healing Library Café' on the second level and it was such a quaint little space – with an extensive collection of books and magazines. On top of that, we were served with cool herbal tea – definitely a lovely place for customers to rest in after their purchase in store.

Belif has been around in Korea for almost 4 years and is known to be a traditional skincare brand with products formulated with natural herbs and ingredients. Not only do they focus on the beauty aspect of skincare, they also focus on the health aspect by using natural ingredients only and eliminating harmful synthetic substances and preservatives. I have personally tried a few of their products and if I were to name one of the products that I have been using frequently, it would be the 360 herbal sleeping eye mask – it has this soothing lemongrass smell which instantly clams the body as well as your mood (particularly helpful after a long tired day at work) and at the same time, it's moisturizing enough to not create oil seeds and an absolutely convenient product to use (It's a sleeping eye mask!).

Was surprised to know that Belif offers kids products as well as men's products!

The morning spent at the Belif store in Samcheong-dong was quite an informative and educating one in fact. We learnt a lot about the brand, about the products and the highlight of the trip was definitely the launch of their latest skincare range - The Peat Miracle Revital Range.

Do you know that the Peat Extract (the main ingredient used in this range of products) contains Humic Acid which restores the skin’s natural turnover rate by revitalizing the skin, preventing skin inflammation and irritation at the same time? It is known for its calming effects as well as improving, moisturizing your skin to ensure that the skin renews at a much faster speed.

Very sweet of the team to prepare a gift box labelled with our individual names and it contained the full peat range products!

Sung, Belif's global marketing assistant with Jean Danker, our renowned local Deejay. Jean is the ambassador for Belif Singapore and am so happy and proud of her ;) You should spot her in various magazines and I know she truly enjoys using the belif products, especially the Aquabomb moisturizer.

The boss and ladyboss from the Singapore's office – two of the most down-to-earth and capable bosses I've met ;)

With the very lovely ladyboss ;)

With Ning, writer from her world plus and I actually met her previously on a press trip in Bangkok. Such a small world & happy to see familiar faces ;)

We proceeded for lunch and as you can see, the team treated us with such great hospitality and we were definitely very well-fed for every single meal.

With Elaine – the marketing executive for Belif Singapore and a great girl to work with ;)

I thought it was a brilliant idea to try out the Peat products with an afternoon facial/massage and trust the team to think of this! We experienced a 10-step rejuvenating facial session and during the course of facial, the therapist applied products only from the Peat Miracle Revital Range, alongside with other belif skincare products.

Facial lasted for about an hour and I remember feeling refreshed after stepping out of the room and it definitely felt good to have the skin thoroughly cleansed. This was my first time trying out the peat products too. I've pretty dehydrated skin as mentioned many times previously and the peat range was surprisingly very moisturizing (hence, the richer texture). It might be too oily for people with oily t-zone but this range works really well for dry skin.

Headed back to the hotel to freshen up quickly before heading to dinner.

We had the privilege of meeting and dining with the Vice-president from LG Household and Care, Mr Bill ;)

And a group shot for keepsake! A lovely dinner over traditional Korean food and wine ;)

The night didn't stop there and the five of us actually went for a late night shopping spree at Dongdaemun. Didn't pack enough clothes for the trip and thought I could easily get some clothes along the way. Unfortunately, we shopped for almost 4 hours and I couldn't find anything suitable and ended up only purchasing a skirt at the very last hour. Could see the rest were really tired from walking and they were very kind to just stay on although we mentioned about parting ways and I felt really bad for that.. Hope I didn't tire everyone out because we all had to wake up early the next day. Nonetheless, It was an enjoyable night out with awesome company and we ended the night with fun selfies at 2am!

Will be back for part three and till then, goodnight ;)
