If You Could Only Have One Eyeshadow, It Should Be This One

I’ve been playing around with Rodial’s new makeup line for a few months now, and I can’t wait any longer to share it with you. While it officially launched March 1st, I was waiting to get an e-commerce link for you before I posted about it… but it’s March 20th and I can’t hold it in anymore. So you’ll just have to run over to your Murale store to check it out or cross your fingers and hope it pops up online soon!

I’ve been loving the entire makeup range, which includes a fabulous contour powder (I did give a sneak peek here), gorgeous highlighters, mascaras, eyeliners and more. When you look at the packaging and play with the products, you’ll realize it’s all about creating a luxurious, cool-girl look. The look is modern, chic and sophisticated, but it doesn’t try too hard. It’s like your favorite fashion bloggers on Instagram, rolled up into a makeup line.

In particular, one product stood out to me beyond the rest. The Rodial Eye Sculpt ($34) is a mousse-like cream eyeshadow. It comes in one shade—a brownish taupe—that is universally flattering and totally modern. First of all, I was pretty blown away that they only launched one shade—seems like a bit of a risk for a brand to do so. But seriously, it is the coolest texture and the color is perfect!

Eye Sculpt is super lightweight, creamy and it blends so effortlessly onto the skin. It’s completely buildable, so you can go for a sheer wash of color for slight definition, or you can layer it to build it up into a full-on smokey eye. It works great in the crease to create depth and even under the cheekbones for a dramatic (but natural-looking) contour.
