Do you ever feel like you’re stuck in a rut? Let me try to explain.

Monday through Friday I wake up at 7am, then again at 7:15am, then again at 7:30am, and finally at 7:45am. Okay, sometimes 8am, but that’s it, I swear. Then I work, bullshit, and multitask until 1am, or until I can’t keep my eyes open, and do it all over again the next day. Even mine and my boyfriend’s relationship have fallen into a routine. The butterflies, the twinkle, the giggly feeling, the spontaneous sex—they’re all gone.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and I love my boyfriend, and don’t think having a daily routine is necessarily a bad thing. It’s just that my current routine has me feeling downright lazy and it’s affecting every area of my life. As our friend Drake says, “I’m really too young to be feeling this old.” I’ve always been a night owl, but I never used to have a problem waking up at 4am during my Customer Care days at Aritzia, or for a 6am class at Barre Fitness. Now, I can barely get up before 8am.

Quite frankly, I’m sick and tired of always feeling sick and tired. Fortunately, I just came across two articles on Tiny Buddha, both of which have inspired me to develop more productive routines. You can read them here and here. Any additional suggestions on how to get my groove back a la Stella (aside from a trip to Jamaica, although that would be nice) are welcomed.

On a more blog-y note, if you haven’t already done so, make sure to enter my latest giveaway. It ends tomorrow at midnight PST.
