3LAB Aqua BB SPF40 + Healthy Glow Lip Balm Review + Swatches
3LAB has become known for their effective, high-end skin care products… ‘perfect’ anti-aging products, if you will. I’ve personally enjoyed the ‘Perfect’ BB Cream. A few new products have launched recently – 3LAB Aqua BB SPF40 and 3LAB Healthy Glow Lip Balm – and I’m excited to share them with you today!
Aqua BB SPF40 ($95.00 // Dermstore) is available in 3 shades – shade 2 is shown in the photographs. The formula is sheer and though buildable never really achieves the full coverage that a foundation would (which BB creams aren’t really supposed to do anyway). This particular formula works to regenerate skin cells, brighten, moisturize and protect the skin while providing sun protection. When pressed the sponge releases the BB easily for quick application to the face. I’ve found the included skin perfecting applicator is best for this over a makeup brush. Obviously this is more of a skincare item with sheer skin coverage benefits. I personally have been using this under my foundation, acting like a base, and have noticed that it helps my makeup to apply much more flawlessly. Healthy Glow Lip Blam ($55.00 // Dermstore) is in a sheer, universal shade that basically just amps up the pigment of your lips. In addition to being moisturizing it contains key ingredients (such as Juvenessence AD, an anti-aging algae, and Maxi-lip which stimulates collagen) to combat fine lines and wrinkles. I’m personally so paranoid about getting mouth wrinkles, so products like this are a staple for me.
