Golden Girly Style
I think I've been watching too much Twin Peaks because when I put this outfit together for the first time, I immediately thought of Audrey Horne and how awesome she is in her school girl clothes. I have a love hate relationship with her. But mostly love. This outfit really doesn't even look like her, I guess I just think it looks like something she'd be wearing around town during her devious escapades.
When these GORGEOUS red wine patent leather shoes from Loly in the Sky showed up at my door, I let out a big sigh....snow had just come pouring down EVERYWHERE. I've had them sitting on my dresser waiting patiently for the day I could wear them and not freeze all my toes off. This week Indiana gave us a break and the sunshine/warm air made it's real first appearance of the year. Of course I was all, "Time to wear shorts and skirts!" "50 degrees out? Well we might as well have a picnic." And so I was able to slip these flats on for the first time this week and I knew they had to be paired with this high waisted Bowknot Pleated Skirt from ChicWish. Isn't the skirt so flippin adorable? Besides it reminding me of Audrey Horne, it also makes me think of adorable Japanese fashion. The bow and high waist are too perfect and it's really a comfy skirt. Perfect for a warmish day! And now that my sister-in-law Brittany's wedding is past us, I can wear this lace top from her wedding. All the bridesmaids wore these lacey shirts with a floor length tulle skirt. I definitely felt like a magical fairy ballerina princess all day.
So thankful for beautiful days like this one and the warmer weather to come. It's amazing how a little sunshine can lift your spirits so much!
