Minions and Jurassic World Toys Preview Event
Last week during the bitter bitter cold we took the boys out for Universal Media Family Brunch during Toy Fair Week. The brunch would be celebrating all things for two of the hottest movies coming out “Minions” and “Jurassic World”.
When we arrived we were greeted by minion characters and the boys were over the moon. We have an exorbitant amount of minions toys in the house including ones they got from their aunt that farts on demand. (Classy) Next we were ushered into a small theater with popcorn to preview the Minions and the Jursasic World trailers.
Since Jurassic World is rated PG-13 there were certain parts that jolted the kids a bit but thank goodness it was over in 3 minutes. Plus…Chris Pratt…yes. The Minions trailer was really funny and has everything that you love from Despicable ME. This movie is set as a prequel to Despicable ME and will have the minions discovering New York in the 1970s.
Next we were brought into a room with everything Minions and Jurrasic World. There was tons of really cool things but here were some of my favorites:
Minion Shoes: how adorable are these? I think I might get these for the boys so that I don’t have yell “put on your shoes!” 80 times every morning!
Minion Helmets: I like these helmets for two reasons, one the design and build is sturdy and secure and 2) the color! Have you ever seen a kid with a bright yellow helmet? Easy to spot!
Jurassic World Legos: my youngest cried real crocodile tears when we eventually had to separate him from the Jurassic World Legos. They come in different creatures and look pretty easy to put together.
There were also a couple of creative stations that included a sugar bomb station that creatively made minions out of Twinkies and also was an area to decorate your own cupcakes!

The boys had a really great time and I can’t wait to take them to the movies this summer!
