And so.

Hello, dear friends. Did you have a nice Fourth of July? Ours wasn't as laid back as usual, but we did get to see the amazing Matt Nathanson (I lovelovelovelove him times infinity) perform & then watched a few fireworks. And when I saw a few, I mean a few. L.L.Bean might be the best place to get everything under the sun EXCEPT fireworks.

Yesterday I woke up with the miserable cramps (what else is new) but tried focusing on my breathing and took a few pain meds. I was supposed to go paddle boarding with Nicole, and although it was so early, I was excited to try it out. I made it through and the pain meds seemed to kick in just in time, huzzah! It was an awesome workout (paddled to a beach, did cardio in the sand, then anchored our boards in the water and did cardio on the boards! I felt like super woman!) and reminded me a lot of Revolt, which I loved. I hope to do it next week as well, maybe along with my friend, Jess.

We've been spending a lot of time in our house, trying to clean out some of the junk that has accumulated and also redo our basement. Lee has been hard at work in the dungeon and he's almost done! I wish we had taken before and after pics of the transformation. He's created three separate workout, storage, and entertainment spaces down there. So cool :)
How are y'all doing with the death of Google Reader? I know everyone and their mother is using Bloglovin', but I'm not so much a fan. I love Feedly, however. So streamlined and easy to navigate. I highly recommend it!

If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you already know I struggle with anxiety and depression. The best description of what that feels like everyday for me is illustrated here: Hyperbole & A Half: Depression Part 2. I've been talking to my mum, my second mum (Carmela), my doctor, and some really good friends & I think I am on the right track. At least for right now, and that's all that matters-- right now!

I think I needed to take a step back from this blog to learn what I needed it for. Does that make sense? I feel that returning here with that sense of priority makes it so much easier to pick it back up again. Have a great weekend, friends.
