Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine

Every lady loves a little luxury, and Estée Lauder is one of those beauty brands that give me that exact feeling whenever I’m using their products. Whether it’s the extra detail in the packaging, the magnetic click on their lipsticks or their beautiful nail polish bottles, I always feel like I’m treating myself with a little extra something – which is nice if you need a pick-me-up during an off day or so. I recently got an introduction to their new line of Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting lipsticks, and must say I’m already quite smitten. I tend to go for red nails faster than a red lip in everyday use, so the fact that they come with a matching set of nail polishes too is pretty pleasing. It’s the first time I’ve tried their nail polish and everything is still looking good after one day – something rather uncommon for me (I fidget quite a lot with my hands, which leads to my nail polish chipping fast). The shade pictured above is matching with the ‘Empowered‘ shade.

As for the lipsticks, nr. 220 called ‘Suggestive’ (the one on the right in the first picture) has been in rotation for the last couple of days – the fact that it’s hydrating, subtle but still adds a dose of daily glam makes it perfect for work or casual dinner dates. Nr. 320 ‘Surreal Sun’ (on the left) and nr. 350 ‘Empowered’ (the one in the middle) both give a brighter and more present look – but still in a subtle way. In other words, if you don’t feel like going for that full red lip, but want something a little in between, these are truly perfect for that. The hydrating effect is something you instantly feel when putting them on, so again – perfect for everyday situations or ladies who enjoy beauty but don’t feel like dealing with the fuss of keeping your lipstick perfect all the time (aka yours truly).

All of these are available in Estée Lauder selling points and online.

To end on a little honest note: each time I write about beauty (or try to prep a post), I get rather frustrated with the results because it’s such a different world and I feel like I’m coming across as an amateur (a lot of us “fashion bloggers'” always seem to apologize for not being bonafide beauty bloggers). Then again, I don’t think you expect to see the same content here as you would on an actual beauty blog but since I still have a love for things beauty too, I still like to share some of my favorites – even though I may not be equally expert describing them.
