Stay at the International House in New Orleans

The International House was our hotel of choice during our stay in New Orleans. The building, if I remember right, a government building converted into a bank and then into a hotel. The decorations were a mixture of modern and victorian and reminded us very much of Tampa's Oxford Exchange. We could have stayed their forever.

The hotel was designed by Sean Cummings and LM Pagano, whose private clients include Johnny Depp and Nicolas Cage, and has a very sophisticated look. I think my favorite part was the candelit bar which reminded me of Ciro's Speakeasy in Hyde Park. We would definitely recommend this place and, if we're ever in the area, will make it a point to stay there again.
